So I was wondering what are the websites you visit regularly that you think are awesome/couldnt live without?

I want to check them out, do you have any recomendations?

I'll start:

Music:

Last FM

A music streaming site that uses a recomendation engine to show you more bands that match your tastes, just discorved it today (actually my sister told me aout it) and I love it and it took me by supprise it recomended a band that I hadnt heard of before loved them and was really supprised to discover they were from Blackpool (nothing good has ever come out of blackpool).

News:

digg.com

A social book makring site that uses crowd sourcing to decide what news is most important that day, you can either digg an article (like it) or bury it (dislike it), it also has a recomendation engine.

twitter search

Probably one of the best things to come out of twitter.com the micro blogging website, twitter search shows in real time what everyones talking about, twitters actually been quicker at reporting news that traditional news stations.

BBC Click

Click is a show that the BBC runs, it looks at tech and gadgets but more importantly it compiles a list of really useful websites.

Video:

vimeo.com

I love vimeo, its kind of like youtube apart from the fact that its edited, your only to submit your own films so alot of the stuff is really high quality.

Collegehumor.com

Very funny high quality web videos, sometimes they get it wrong but the rest of the time its great. If you want to get started check out jake and Amir (who have their own website jake and amir.com and hardly working.

Chatting:

skype.com

Free internet phone calls, it works on p2p network which makes it possible. Going to Canada would of been alot harder and cost me alot more money without it.

Blogging:

twitter.com

As mentioned before its a micro blogging site that limits you to 140 characters, no one knows what your supposed to do with it but it is good.

tumblr.com

Its pretty much like a standard bloggins site except its alot easier to post and customise. It also helps you get in contact with other like minded bloggers.

Photography:

flickr

Its a photo sharing website but its also got a really strong community, well worth the visit.

Meeting people:

Meetup.com helps you meet like minded people in your area, I havent used it yet (well properly) but I'm going to on the 17th, I'm going to meet up with some film fans at an indie cinema then go out for a drink.

Useful applications:

My pictr.com Is a tool that helps you create a profile picture in the standard sizes for most websites. Easy to use and it saves alot of time.

Wow thought this blog would end up being alot more popular than it was, go figure.

Oh well I'll probably just use it as a link list for awesome websites I find.

overlay.tv allows you to put hyperlinks and images over videos, could be used for advertising.

We are the hunted

Its not out of beta yet but so far its looking pretty good, it charts music by looking for key word in forums, twitter and p2p download services (as well as downloads) then puts them on the front page with images that are constantly changing.

Pretty sweet.
