I like the fact that this tradition started because "Sears-Roebuck had put an ad in the local paper listing Santa's phone number, but the number was misprinted. Instead of ringing the department store, it rang CONRAD's (the fore father of Norad) ops center. Shoup got the first call, and rather than being a Scrooge, he told the tyke, "Let me check the radar."

I found about this last year, its a great idea.

Santa is currently delivering to the good children of Siemreab, Cambodia. I wonder when he'll get to the UK...

Thats cool, shame shes growing up.



To be honnest for a very long time I didnt like christmas (even as a child) because I wanted it to be about my birthday but now I actually put effort in and try and get into the holiday.



So stuff like this is right up my ally.

Nope, my parents wouldnt let my relatives do that I always got seperate presents.



I always used to have my party in june because it was easier to organise something then. Now the whole having a celerbrations kind of died off. My friends in the UK are usually all off on ski holidays so meeting up with people is difficult.



I havent celerbrated my birthday in about 3 years because its too difficult to organise something.

i know how you feel phil, my birth day is in the beginning of December and it almost always is right around Hanukkah... my rent where pretty good about keeping the to separate when i was a kid... but now it being in December makes it harder to plan stuff... to do cause everyone's so busy prepping for the holidays...

Meh I just accept it as a fact of life, its never really going to get easier if all goes to plan I'll be moving to Canada and I'll always have to fly home for christmas, I cant see that changing.

rhythmdev9, that sucks being born in a busy time of year is always diffcult.



But atleast everyone remembers that it is your birthday even if they cant meet up for it.
