Today it reached - 28 c but was taken down to an amazing -43 c. Its the coldest weather I've experienced in my entire life and I'm not really sure if its possible to explain to my British friends just how cold - 43 c is so I'll show you.

- 43 c is so cold, that if you boil a kettle of water and throw it out of a window it freezes before it hits the ground:

Boiling water

Frozen

kyle, when I get home its going to be 6 c, everyone will be wrapped up warm I'll be rocking the shorts and tee shirt.

To be honnest the praries are pretty dry, its worse when its a wet cold because it cuts right through you but even then your expecting it to be cold so you dress for it.

If I'm going out I wear two pairs of socks, my pj bottoms underneath my jeans as well as a pair of underpants, tee shirt, hoodie, scarf, winter jacket, hat and a pair of gloves.

My sister is in saskatoon and she said it was -45 there. It was around -40 with the wind out here today.

I went to England one year at Christmas and even though there was no snow, and the temp. read warmer than it was at home, I was SO COLD. English cold is different than Canadian cold.

That is awesome. Isn't that Canadian cold a lot drier that the wet windy foggy British cold? There must be amospheric differences that make the Brtish cold less fun. That looks like fun cold.

Today it was 22°C max. That is actually abnormally cold for this time of year though it was a very pleasant day. Unless you were in the shade, then it was cold because of the wind.

Ahhhh winter. When I'm home I'll try to find the pic my dad took of our thermometer outside -55C I've never seen it that cold since, but Jan-Feb stay -40 to -45C

I miss that about home. Down hee it's supposed to rain tomorrow. It still boggles my mind how it can rain in December, or another month after October and before April.
