Longboarders: Breaking the Stereotype from Mike Maekelburger on Vimeo.

So this is a documentary we've been working on the past couple of months, it was a big collaborative effort by alot of people (but we dont get credit because it was a class project and alot of us arent in the class).

Its seven minutes of awesomeness.

P.S you should check out our website for even more awesomeness:

Oh man. I almost DIED at the kids!

We have a longboard club on campus: SMELL St. Mary's Extreme Longboarding League

One of my professors actually jacked one of his students boards so that he could run to the cafe really quick and get a coffee.

I'm really not cut out for longboarding down hills but I like being around it.

The hand made longboard rocks, I've never seen it in person though, its made out of a water ski.

I'm the most balance-challenged person in the world. It's hard enough staying on a horse, let alone something with wheels.

The most skating experience I've had is a couple photo shoots, where the boys let me since on their boards and they pushed me down a hill.

I'm a pussy :(

P.S.

I'm so jealous, 'cause whenever you put up pictures, it seems like you're always having an awesome time.

Hmm like surfing on land, except maybe more so than skateboarding

Iv been wanting to learn to skateboard for a long time its just I live in the middle of the woods where the closest pavement is a road a couple hundred yards away frequented by 18 wheelers going 60+ mph. I even get heckled by rednecks riding by in their cars I when ride my bike around town because they must think Im some sort of hippie.

Oh I know moose, i'm balanced challenged as well which is why when ever I do a hill I'm padded up and I still fall, I prefer cruising.

Also its sort of deciving, I only take my camera out on events where were having fun, last year was alot more fun mainly because we had more time for fun.

Phiffer, regina's a decent city but I prefer moose jaw though it does kind of epitomise sk... we had to drive an hour before we got hills.

isneked, that sucks maybe you should get a board when/if you go to uni.
