I'm an assistant editor and one of my jobs is to write up notes on all the tapes I've downloaded for the show thats going to be edited in the coming months.

My boss wants to see the notes I've got done so far so I need it to be perfect, no spelling mistakes or grammatical errors, I was wondering if I'd used the right to in this sentence?

They are looking for someone to give their boat to.

Thank you

you can't end a sentence in a preposition, in.

Yes.

Two = number

Too = overly eg. too much food

too many people

"to whom" sounds better to me.

yeah... I think that is correct also, and reads easier.

Go with Becca. It sounds and looks good and, even better, it's got correct spelling and grammer!

(Not that your first sentince didn't.)

I guess you could just simplify it to "They're looking for someone who wants their boat" but that might take the meaning out of context or something.

Just go with Becca's.

Thanks for the help, I've gone with whom.

these guys have been rowing down the ganges in india, at this point in the trip they want to go home so instead of selling the boat they want to give it away to someone who will need it.

Thanks again

How about 'They are looking to give their boat to someone who will need it.'

Or shorter yet, 'They are looking to give their boat away'.

Whoops sorry missed the bit about you going with the whom suggestion.

I'm really not a huge fan of 'whom', but that's probably just me!

They are looking to give their boat to someone or like Krakaboom said They are looking to give their boat away.
