This is the first movie I've really badly wanted to see in a very long time, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is about a man born in his 80's and ages backwards, it's set at the end of the first world war through to the early 21st century.

The trailers are amazing:

Its actually visually stunning.

Yeah the book was written in 1922 by F. Scott Fitzgerald, they changed they changed the dates but the concepts the same.

I only heard about it today but damn thats top of my list, I just wish they werent releasing it on christmas day.

Has anyone else noticed that Brad Pitts been making really good choices with films lately?

p.s I'm also waiting to see this:

Hank and mike its about two blue collar easter bunnies who get sacked from their jobs then try to get them back.

Brad Pitt has turned from Brainless, brawny teen-heart throb to an intensely interesting, multi-faceted and serious actor.

Plus, he's still good looking.

See I don't know because he has made good choices in the past, he was great in snatch and spy game was fairly decent.

I think he's always had it in him just his team hasnt really let him do interesting stuff.

I'll probably see it a few days after, its kind of hard to get away when your at your grans and no car, plus the whole being in canada for four months tends to make things harder.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and admit it, I wasnt a fan of fight club.

I liked most of it, its just I didnt like the ending it was really cheesey, it was supposed to be super dramatic but I just found it funny.

Wrecked the whole film.

Oh what was that lame ass film he made with Orlando bloom? you know when he owned a production company with Jen? where they were greeks (I'm guessing I dont really remember).

I don't remember that one.

The twist at the end was kinda a classic Chuck Palahniuk ending. While some literary tricks or catalysts work on paper, they don't always transfer well to screen.

The ending was okay but came off much better in the book.

There was just so much more that could have been done with such an interesting concept. In the end, I felt it didn't even matter that he was ageing backwards - the same story could have happened more or less if he was just ageing normally.

I enjoyed it but it was far from amazing.

What was amazing is the technology behind benjamin button getting his face.

indeed the technology is great, but that shouldn't have any bearing on how good the movie is/isn't

i have no desire to see this movie either, i thought the concept was utter wank
