seth macfarlane's cavalcade of comedy! theres a new one!

Ok so for those that dont know a while back Seth Macfarlane of family guy fame signed a deal with google to distribute two mintue short comedys on the net, the adverts are being sponsored by companies e.g burger king but their also getting money through googles ad program.

Anyway the first clips got released yesterday, there pretty kick ass:

Probably because parents will actually have an address to complain to.

It is strange that they would bleep, his big selling point about doing internet stuff was that he could be edgyer and do stuff he couldnt do on tv.

Its possible, but to be honnest it could be google telling him to do it, burger king seems to be going for an ediger image so working with Mcfarlane fits but google doesnt really have that image.

Their image is dont be evil so I'd hazzard a guess and say it was their infulence if Mcfarlane didnt insist on it himself.

people always say Seth Macfarlane from Family Guy but you don't hear people talk about American Dad much. i hope that doesn't mean it'ss going to end up cancelled because i love it. Roger the Aliens Paul Lynd voice is always hilarious.

I never really got into american dad, maybe it gets better but the first series and the first couple of episodes were pretty lame, I like family guy because its easy to watch you can just watch clips of it and its fine.

yeah american dad is a lot more linear without the random cut-aways. the first couple of episodes were a little lame, but then i hated Family Guy at first too and now i love it. it just takes some getting used to.

i'd normally be nervous as hell about any kind of spin-off, but mike henry who voices cleveland is a funny guy and a good writer. i'm sure it's going to be great.

Im not that familiar with his work other than as cleveland but I kind of think why cleveland he never struck me as the strongest character for a spin off.

Having said that a quamire show would get boring fast.

The Mario one was actually done first (once again) by Robot Chicken with The Legend of Zelda...its still good times though.

I hate herbert the paedophile by far the weakest character.

Anyway I'm actually kind of interested in this venture froma business point of view because no ones managed to come up with the ultimate format of how media will make money off the net its just an experiement.

Well the thing is its a deal struck with google, its about testing the net to see if you can actually make money off of it.

Theres so much un known at the moment.
