I accidentally bought cheese thats suitable for vegitarians.

But I dont understand how cheese can be suitable for vegitarians.

vegetarians generally don't eat meat, but eat some other animal products.



vegans eat no animal products.



so it either isn't real cheese or it's... cheese that doesn't contain meat?

some vegetarians won't eat any product made from animals or animal byproducts. milk, cheese, paste, etc.

sometimes cheese can still contain animal product; not just milk, but like, animal tissue.

rennet is sometimes used to coagulate the cheese, which is stomach tissue from a calf...it could just be cheese that's rennet-free

Thats what confused me I assumed all cheese was suitable for vegitarians.
