It just strikes me as a bit odd, dont get me wrong their preaching a good message but there kind of counter productive.

The deforitation tee for example, the tee shirt was made in bangledesh, shipped/flown to chicago printed on then posted all over the world.

Its carbon foot print must really quite large, which would be ok normally but for a tee shirt thats trying to get us to help the enviroment it really doesnt make sense.

I could only wear a tee shirt that preaches about the enviroment if it was made in an enviromentally friendly way and distributed in an enviromentally friendly manner (which means producing it locally so it doesnt travel as far).

ah but in a sense - being that tees are so pragmatic and efficient in production and use - the carbon footprint is less that say a button down cotton job - or even a synthetic fiber polo - of course leaving out the environmental travesty that is silk

so in conclusion - we save babies wearing simple tees

True but non of those items of clothing have set out with a mission to save the world.

Sonmi, no I didnt but thats kind of funny.

I dont mean to single out this design because its amazing and I would wear it its just that this is one of the enviroment designs (which there are many) that have been printed.

Threadless probably isnt setting out to save the world, but the designers of the tee's usually have something like that in mind.

I totally agree with you here stubby! But not just about 'environment designs' all of them should be environmentally friendly!

I'm starting up a clothing line with my brother and another friend and all of our tees are going to be either organic cotton or hemp. The quality is also much better than some of the almost-see-through cotton or synthetic ones out there.

they should make tees from fallen wood - collected by forest wicker people - and woven with hairs plucked from the executives of oil companies
