I'm not sure how it would work but I think it would be pretty cool if it could be successfully implemented.

When we go on the blogs, we have to look at titles to decide if were interested in the discussion, then we'll go into the blog and see if its what we thought it was about and wether or not we actually want to talk about the subject matter. It takes a fair amount of trial and error before we find something that actually interestests us.

Similarly theres alot of blogs that were interesting a while ago but have died (and gone further back in the blog pages) that contain interesting areas of disscussions and links to interesting topics.

More than once we've discussed things on the blog, then I've gone back searching through them trying to find it and it takes forvever.

What if there was a feature that looks at the all the data we've a massed such as the blogs we tend to take part in and the ones we've put a watch on then recomends blogs we might be interested in reading/taking part?

I think the watch idea was a good idea at first but all I've end up with is a big long list of blogs I found interesting at the time but their not catergorised nor is it clear what they were about.

Basically it would work like digg and fffound.

That would be a good idae, I too hate looking for blogs that I was talking in, left for like 5 minutes, and now they are no where to be found!

I think theres alot of data already there and if there was a feature that anaysed it and then made recomendations we'd find blogs that we've talked in or might want to talk in alot easier, the problem is that blog titles are rarely accrute titles and dont disccuss what they say they would which would mean people would need to add key words to the bottom of the blog post to make it more relevant.

that seems a little much for this type of forum. why don't you just use the "only participated" sorting option to find blogs that you were talking in?

true. I hate it when you open something and its not at all what you expected. But thats how people trick you into opening their blogs! HAHA.

I think it would take threadless a long time to be able to do something like that though. :/ oh well

Maybe but I've been here for three years, I've talked in alot of blogs all about different things, its all right for looking at my most recent discussions but if I want to find the blog where we discussed orphaned works we have to use the search feature, then work out which blog was the one we discussed it.

If blogs showed a five star rating of watched (the more watches the closer to five it gets) then it would suggest its a good blog to read.
