That I've had to make in a while and I need your help because I'm loosing sleep over it.

heres the short version.

I'm going to be living in canada for 4 months, I have a job but it doesnt pay enough/give me enough hours which means I'll have a very tight budget to live on whilst I'm in canada.

I went out looking for another job and got offered one today that will be able to give me as many hours as I need but the problem is they want me to start working right away.

The problem is I'm in the last two weeks of school and I'm barely on top of my essays and I know if I take on this other job I'm going to get overwhelmed, but I need the money.

If I take this job, I'll be working two days a week on top of the two days a week (so 4 days) with my current job, after the two week period I'll be quiting my current job and working almost full time on the new job.

Basically, you should take the job and continue with college. You're just gonna have to work your ass off, but after to weeks you'll be glad you did.

it's a judgement call. if you think you can possibly pull it off, go for it. but if you know it's hopeless to try to adopt this job and also finish your school, then find a new job

This is Hadley on her friend's account:

I think you should just suck it up and take the job. Two weeks is a really short period of time, and if you just focus really hard I'm sure you can manage it, although the necessity of stressing yourself out for two weeks is largely dependent on whether or not you think you can get another job..

Thanks everyone for giving advice and I'm glad you guys can do it, but I'm not sure if I can. I dont want to blame my learning difficulties but I cant deny they have an effect I find it really difficult to be organised and get overwhelmed fairly easily and I'm really worried that this will tip me over the edge.

Part of the reason I'm not sure if I want to take it on is because I do get financial support from my parents that will effectivly double when I'm in canada (thanks to the exchange rate) and I should have some money left over from my loan which would help.

Well do you think you can get another job, or is this your only shot at the money? how bad do you need the money? I mean.... I guess I'm kind of used to periods of intense work derived stress, but I feel like two weeks of minimal sleep/fun is worth the security of knowing you will have adequate funds in Canada.

you should probably try to start paying back that loan fairly quickly...

bobobob, its a student loan so its nothing to worry about (the way our loan system works means that a small amount of money is taken out of our bank account per week a year after we graduate).

Well its my only shot at another job, I mean this job happened extremely suddenly. I found out yesterday that job one couldnt give me the hours I wanted so today I went around getting application forms and went into the second job, the manager took me up for an interview and offered it me on the spot.

So i'm trying to clear my head and work out if I really desperatly need this job or not.
