Oh. My. God. Baron, that is pretty much the most awesome thing ever (and just because I'm obsessed, have you posted that on another forum, somewhere? I remember reading a story about someone serving him in a bookshop)...

But tell me all about it. EVERYTHING.

Well there's not that much to tell, alas. I didn't mention that he was Dylan Moran (he was probably aware of who he was), but it was painfully, painfully obvious that I wanted to pretty much jump over the counter and hug him. He came in right at closing time, but didn't have the heart to throw him out, Bernard Black stylee, so just stayed open for about half an hour while he browsed...

BUT then he asked me where he should go nearby to get a drink! So I recommended pubs to Dylan Moran!

And I later saw him, outside the pub, on the phone, talking to his kids about pizza.

I also met Tamsin Greig and told her she was probably my favourite person ever, to which she replied, in mock-horrified tones, 'PROBABLY!??'.

Oh man, that would be totally, totally awesome. Do you live in Edinburgh, or was this elsewhere?

And omg pub recommendations!!!!!

Haha, Tamsin Greig is awesome. I did a movie with Sally Fields (from Smack the Pony), who is best friends with her, and I was like, omg. Haha.

This was in Oxford, it was during one of his stand-up tours. Tamsin is awesome; I worked on radio drama for a while and hoped she might turn up, as she does a lot of it, but alas no

Oh, how upsetting. I must say, British radio is far, far superior to Australian radio. I mean, they have radio shows with actual content. And you guys have I'm Sorry, I Haven't A Clue, which blows everything else in the world out of the water.

My Moran tour story was from the first time he came to Melbourne, I saw him in a little theatre in the city. During the show, he was drinking from a bottle of Stella Artois beer. And he left it on the table on stage at the end of the show. So I jumped up and stole it. Mwahahah.

That's also pretty amazing!

Yeah, there is a lot of good stuff on British radio (and a lot of dross too, but that's to be expected) but it's amazing some of the big hollywood names they get in to do it- I think cos it's such a different (and 1000x quicker) experience to shooting a film. And all (well, most) of the bast comedy shows start on the radio.

Do you work on films?

I did some film and tv work a few years ago, and then my agency closed down. I'm trying to get back into it, but I've been doing theatre for the past two years.

Australian members mock me for my involvement in an ABC children's show called Silversun, set on a spaceship in the future. I had a robotic brain implant!

That sounds amaazing. Don't think it made it to the UK sadly, and we're all the worse for it
