Right now I'm working on getting back to canada its just extremely confusing and going to be extremely hard work.

My course lets me do an internship in the media, the only requirements are that there with a film/tv/media company and that the internship lasts for at least 10 weeks but as long as I'm back before christmas I can go where ever I want.

So I'm attempting to organise an internship in sasketchewan and organise living in the same accomodation I did last time.

The problem is organising it, I have to find companies and that want to fill out extra paper work, is acceptable to the university and ultimatly will take me on.

I'm having trouble drawing up a list of companies, I know for a fact that regina is the film capital of the province but I'm having alot of trouble just getting started.

My university does a module on applying for internships but its aimed at the uk and the other problem of course is housing, I cant put myself down for a house with people (of course right now I have no one to live with) because if all goes well I'll be dropping out, on the other hand if everything goes wrong or I can only get a short internship I have no where to live.

I'm stressed because I have alot riding on this.

I want to live in canada and as far as I can tell this is the best way to get myself into the country permantly.

I've studied for 4 months in canada, with this included I'll be taken up to 8 months I'll of also worked in the sasketchewan film industry which means I'll have contacts and potential employers. I'll of worked there for 4 months.

I can apply for a six months working visa which means when I come home I'll of worked in a proffessional industry with a regoconised career for a year.

I'll be attempting to apply for a skilled worker visa, they go on a points system and I'll still be under the point limit but on the plus side they let you write a letter proving why you'd adapt to life in canada and why your of economic worth.

I'll of already lived in canada for a year and a half, my working life will of been in canada and I'll have a job waiting for me.

If I dont get this it could be another five years after university before I can legally come and live in canada under the self employed visa, but that requires you to work self employed for two years and wait another three I have to have a good buisness plan, artistic ability (my area is film and photography) and sufficent funds to start a buisness.

I'm not sure if I'm up to that on my own.

Man, I can see that you're under a fair bit of pressure there. I'm not sure what to say other than hang in there and good luck.

Man, that is really tough what you have to go through to get into Canada, full-time. It's not like they don't have the room for ya!

I wish I had some advice on how to deal with this, but I don't know what to tell you other than keep at it.

Can't the people you worked with the first time help you out? Or the students you were there with?

Well the first time around I went on an exchange program, I asked them but they basically said its not their problem they just do exchange programs.

Getting accomodation in canada not a problem I'd be allowed to stay in the halls I was in last time and I'll probably be un paid so I have to apply for a student visa but that only takes a couple of months to come through.

The (uk) university will most likely let me live in university acoomdation again because its impossible to get contracts that cover from january to may (they usually cover june till june).

There are other ways in but this is the most obvious and credible way in.

One of my friends will be starting a film company after university making snowboarding/longboarding films and I know he'd fill out the paper work to get me over but that type of company is extremely difficult to set up and even harder to make a living off of.

The funny thing is I'm working this hard to get into sasketchewan when I really want to live in alberta.
