As alot of you know in the next few years I'm planning on uping sticks and moving out to canada to try and live out there for atleast a few years, in theory/dream world everythings set up I have alot of friends out there (I studied in sasketchewan for 4 months) who want to help me come over I'm young and have nothing to tie me down to the uk and my friends are respectivly trying to set up film companies (wether this will happen or not is debatable and the level of success).

There are basically two ways I can get over to canada, a six month work visa or immigration under a self employed visa.

a six month visa would be ideal as a way of starting off but it requires you to have a job lined up for you and you cant apply for the visa whilst your in canada so I can stay in canada for six months without working legally, get a job lined up then I have to go back to the uk and apply for a work visa that could take up to a year then come back to canada.

and this is where it gets really stupid.

In theory I can come over to canada as self employed say as a photographer, canadas requirements are that it is a regoconised career (fine) and that I have atleast two years experience doing the job (also fine)... but you have to wait five years before you can apply and the work expereince has to be in that five year period.

I really dont think they want me to come to canada.
