Howdy folks, well what with the new printing methods I thought I might have a go at creating a submission (technically my first) but I'm having a few problems.

One I cant open the tee shirt templates because my computer doesnt recognise the file type (AI and fla).

The other problem is I'm not sure if its printable, I took the photos myself then changed the contrast, the hue, used a paint tool and a colourise brush on a program called microsoft digital image suite 2006.

So theres a good chance it has more than 8 colours.

so is there anyway to get the same effect but keeping within the rules, in short is it printable?

it's printable and I dare say wearable to many. You'd have to remove the DC logo.

that's some sweet imagery. i don't think the color issue should be a problem with simulated processing and gradients (but then again, i'm still kind of unfamiliar with it, so perhaps i'm mistaken). are you using photoshop? if so, it should be able to open the .AI, but if not, the template isn't necessary. just make sure the preview fits the size requirements and show it on some shirt.

er i guess if you were using photoshop, you should be able to open the .psd file as well.

Thanks a bunch, I think I might have to change the image because at a rough count (assuming that the black can be done as just one colour) its about 10.

As for photoshop I have it on my laptop but right now I'm using my parents computer.

If it were to be printed using simulated process you wouldn't need to worry about the colour limit. I think if your going to use photos at all, Sim Process would probably be the best option.

Cheers, the plan would be to have it as sim process and a belt print, the images would be conected by the 'rope'.
