As alot of you know already this semester I decided to up and leave the UK to go study in regina saskatchewan and I'm having an amazing time even if it is coming to an end (I leave around this time next month).

This weekend was rememberance weekend so me and two friends decided we'd go to his house... in calgary albert! I've had an amazing weekend spent long boarding, filming and taking photos and to top it off last night we went across the boarder up to a Fernie BC, thats right we went to British columbia!

I'm chuffed, I've beaten the hell out of the other exchange students (most of them havent left regina) and had an amazing time.

I've offically been to orantario, mantioba, sasketchewan, alberta and BC.

I'll write more tommorow, I'm gonna go to sleep cause were heading out in two and a half hours to head back to regina (an 8 hour drive) I'll be driving for about six hours.

--------------------------

I had an amazing weekend so much fun and we crammed so much into such a short period of time, we got to calgary around 11pm (we sort of stopped a few times on the road)

then booked it out and went out longboarding which is so much fun (but kind of scary I'm still getting used to going down hills), we'd been out there about 20 minutes and we saw deer in the middle of calgary it was so strange (I've seen nothing in sasketchewan), went back watched a movie then the next day we headed over to mikes house and boy was that a shock, we pulled up and his garage door was open with a massive spot light shining and three deer carcases hanging from the ceeling. Mikes dad just got off a hunting trip and they'd just finished preparing the meat (skinning it) and on the floor was a deers head. Very surreal.

But I discovered that deer meat is incredibly tasty better than chicken. We went out long boarding again then rented a film and met up with some of mikes friends had a bit of a barbeque and went out again. The next day we went out to the mall some more long boarding then we headed out to the calgary tower and had tea in an irish pub.

Then we hit the road and headed out to fernie over in BC, we almost crashed into elk, took a load of photos outside the signs and on a huge minining truck:

then met up with mikes friend who was letting us crash. Got drunk then monday we went out and eat, tried to get photos of the mountains (a bit un successful because there was a snow storm),

Well I used to live in Edmonton (3hrs north of Calgary, capital city) but I moved to a town called Sylvan Lake to teach this year. It's close to Red Deer.

I love those weird shacks. They are EVERYWHERE along the highway in Alberta.

Yeah she is, shes also awsome, shes getting really good at long boarding (way better than me) shes going down hills that get her up to speeds of 45km and shes learning how to slide.

Mikes way better but he's been doing it for longer and the stuff he does is crazy (including have us drag him along up to 60 km then fireing him down a hill).
