Official Survivor Tribe JAKE and JACOB! Blog!

Ok guys, looking forward to getting started on this, I'm setting up a forum so we'll be able to talk about our designs in private but for now I guess it would be a good idea to call in to say your doing it.

Also I cant be leader simply because I dont have access to photoshop and I dont think I'd be able to put together a composition and submit it.

I wouldn't mind doing it or stubbythumbs could do it. I do like stubby43's suggestion in the Team Jake Forum about the leader being the voice of the team while we could take turns acting as the compiler/composer.

well the compliler/composer has to also create a new design with all of our elements, right? we need a team jake account. i think the compiler/composer is the most important position. maybe both stevetrpi and stubbythumbs should share the compiler job, and one can be our voice. probbably the person who is up here the most?

I'm terrible at Illustrator but I'm decent at Photoshop, we might need someone who can work them into one another for me.

i can work well in both apps. i'm a graphic designer who has been published and in museums, but yet unsuccessful at designing a tshirt. its weird. so i'm looking forward to actually being a part of a collab with you talented folks and hopefully we can pull out a couple prints... collectively we are more powerful than by ourselves.

That's cool FOH. I'm a 3D modeler working for a government contractor but I've always enjoyed illustration. Threadless is my way of being able to do it with no pressure.

I like the idea of having some kind of jolly roger with a pencil and marker (maybe the pencil is drawn to look like pencil and the marker like marker, and then the skull in the middle can be half pencil and then fade into color on the marker side.

I think the jolly roger should resemble Jake a bit though, think like a cartoon looking skull with a orange/brown beard and some earrings and then maybe a bandana that says threadless survivor or something.

I like the idea of making it look like tattoo flash or graffiti but with some tropical and art elements too. Olli has a style that fits that sort of thing I think.
