Pretty soon I'll of been out here for two months, even though we speak the same language everythings so different its hard to understand unless you've experienced both.
I miss food in normal sizes, I miss my family but most of all I miss the freedom we have in the UK. When I'm at university I dont drive because I really dont need to, it takes 10 minutes to walk to the city centre and I can walk around the shops and buy what I want, if I need to do a food shop its 10 minutes away. ![]() (this isnt york, its chester its about a 40 minute drive from my house, its also a walled city and was orriginally a roman settlement but the town centres basically the same). ![]() So we walk and if I want to get home I'll just hop on train and when I'm at home if I dont feel like driving I'll just get a bus. But here if I want to go anywhere I have to ask for a lift because everythings on one street and its an hours walk away from the university. I hate being dependant on other people. ![]() ![]() (not my house, but I wish I owned them one day). ![]()

sometimes though, it's a good way to learn to appreciate things about home that you might not have thought of otherwise.
