I have a photography project to do in class tonight, a little bit of a competion and were going to have lighting kits.

I want to light my subject like its film noir, kind of like Labels photo here but I'm not sure how to do it any ideas?

if you use only back lighting, it'll create a silhouette effect, so i'd recommend a lot of back light and just a little front light/fill light

um...high contrast so have like one bright light source and very little fill...make sure you get shadows so light it from like the side or top or bottom...um...that's all I can sort of think of.

i recommend looking at noir photos with the look you'd like to achieve. then you can see what you want in technical terms instead of emotional and intuitive.
