Work doesn't equal art, but I don't know anyone who denies that photography is an artform.

I think when photography was newer, more people denied it as an art form.



But very few people deny it nowadays.

Actually I think the amount of work you put into a piece effects its art status for a want of a better description, if a certain level of work wasnt involved and prior thought I could call throwing up art, or the stuff on my desk art.



When these two are blantantly not.



I'm really not up for a debate guys, the reason I posted that was because I spent 6 hours in a dark room making prints I've been working all day from 7am till 9pm (the six hours inbetween).



I'd go to sleep but I have to go wash my clothes for the weekend (going to manatoba, I might get to see a rodeo!).

I've met a couple of people who didn't see photography as art. I punched them in the kidneys.

I spend about 6 hours a week developing pictures, and two or three taking them. Yearbook. It's really fun, though.
