Ok over on the threadless mish mash group Chelly had the amazing idea of printing a book up, apparantly you can use this company to get a proffessional book printed:
blurb Well first of all chelly wants permission from you guys to print a book for herself, but shes already stated she doesnt want the responsibility of publishing a book for everyone. But I'm really into the idea and would like to make a go of it but I was wondering how many people would be interested in buying? the price could range from $12.99 (soft cover) up to $160. Personally I'm leaning to a hard back cover book in standard format (Standard Landscape: 10x8 inches (25x20 cm). Standard Portrait: 8x10 inches (20x25 cm). with about 240 pages. the book would probably cost about $40 - $50 but it can be done cheaper it just means less stuff in it. I want to do it as a proper book and I'd like as many people to be involved in it as possible for example if anyone was willing they could help design art work for the cover or other pages within the book. Some of the ideas I had for the book would be: photos of the group sorted by the days Profiles of each of the bloggers who attended (a photo and a little bio) Plus the staff Scans fromt he sketch books plus all the free stuff that was kindly given out and people writing about their experiences There are a few ways that we can go about it, we can do the book at cost, do the book so that a few of us make a little profit (we'll of put alot of hours into it) or it could sell for a profit but the money go to a future blogger raiser. So my question is would people be interested in buying a book? would they be interested in working on said book? would people be willing to share all the stuff from the mish mash? And how do you feel about the money aspect?
