You feel like that once you spend a week there, but living anywhere is a different proposition altogether.

I wouldn't mind living in Scandinavia, though. Or Portugal.

I'm inadmissible to Amercia.

I applied for two major jobs there in the past 3 months, but no luck so far. I've found a ton of amazing apartments, but I needs to secure the monies first.

The winter is a challenge if you're not used to it, but I love it for the most part. I've seen a lot of cities in this world and I still love Chicago the best. I've always toyed with the idea of retiring to Mexico, but I'd miss this city a lot.
Bramish

I moved to London six years ago with no job, no place to stay, and little money.

I was bored as hell in my hometown and figured it was up to me to change something.

I've had a few great years down here, but once again I'm getting itchy feet, and there's nothing keeping me here other than my debts.

When I move to Vienna, I'll have no money, most likely no job, and only a basic grasp of German, but I'll have a place to live, and all that will be an incentive for me to make it work.

I figure change is a good thing, and if you feel bogged down, you've got to do something about it, even if it seems impractical at the time. My way of thinking worries the Hell out of my Ma, but it's worked for me so far.

i've been really unhappy here for several years, but always afraid to move out of the comfort of having family nearby.

being in chicago sucked (there i said it), but only because i wasn't prepared for it. as the days went on, the city seemed less BIG and more graspable.

when i got back, my son gave me this long hug and wouldn't let go and i cried because HE is my HOME. i can take hime someplace w/ more and still be okay.

i had to come back here to see it.

I like your wayu of thinking bramish, but to move to the states you either need a relative or a job, damn imgration policies.

But yeah, my way of think is I should try it whilst I'm young and not established, I want to see the world before I settle down (if that ever happens).

Yeah I was just speaking in general terms stubby. I wanted to move to America when I moved to London, but didn't because of all that visa nonsense.

And any time's good for change. I turn 29 this weekend and am still not settled in any sense of the word.

Fair enough, I was thinking of trying out london for like a year then going to the states.
