Really cool short film though.

Pretty good! A bit message-heavy maybe, but that could be a good thing.

I've no idea, I dont think so but then I've been at uni and I dont own a tv.



The guy made something pretty serrious and when I heard the title I just thought it was going to be a joke because fox hunting is a country thing, so putting it in a city you'd think he'd go for the obvious and go for the laugh



It supprises because it doesnt.

Yeah there are some big messages in there. Although I liked it when he looked at me at the end. Usually I hate that, it's the worst sort of gimick but this time it worked.

The problem with sort films is ultimatly that they are short, you have to develop characters very, very quickly and rarely have time for a back story, so its easier to go preachy in this medium.



Well thats what I've been taught anyway.

I'm feeling pretty dumb here. Is the message about animal mutilation, peer pressure or something else that I'm not picking up on?

I think its a pretty fucked up film to make - yeh on one hand it shows the peer pressure bullshit but unfortunately to young kids influenced by gang culture this will be very appealing.



I fucking hate the way some kids think its ok to kill animals - this kinda shit will catch on if people keep passing these kinda films around.

But the film makes no attempt to make the killing of animals cool or popularise it, its to say its wrong and is designed to look that way.



Besides its more preaching to the converted, I dont think the people who commit these types of acts are the sort of people who watch sort films.

they watch kids kickin the fuck out of other kids on utube for fun so why not this???

they posted those three kids kickin that tramp to death in england and it was one of the highest hitting videos until it was removed.

This made me so sad. I can't believe I watched the whole thing.

But those arent short films, a film showing kids beating each other up takes no preperation and no writing, there not one in the same.

yeah I get you and this short film has made me think more than I thought it would.

I thought the message was specifically about fox hunting and how it's fucked up. Be it upper class country twits on horses or working class urban twits on foot.



Making the protagonists the latter just makes it easier for the intended audience to identify with them.

I'm with kidaro. I see no difference between this and country fox hunting. It's all about blood lust.

Nowadays we have violent video games to quench our thirst for blood. Actual killing is just backwards and outdated.

When they attack and beat people almost to death, it's hardly surprising that they'll kill animals. Our cousin was beaten, for no reason, and will lose his eye. A woman was attacked in Belfast by a group of 9, and someone bit off her ear. It's fucking crazy.
