hey guys long time, no speak.

Anyway some of you may remember a while ago that I got diagnosed with dyslexia recently. Well basically the purpose of that test was to suggest if I needed further testing.

Well today I had it, I came up as dyspraxic with a cross over with dyslexia.

The dyslexic elements are obviously problems with reading and writing which I wasnt supprised about but dyspraxia yeah cause I didnt know that much about it.

The testing I did showed that I was way above average for my ability to understand concepts but my ability to interpit the information I'm reading is low.

Basically I have to keep re reading things because I find it difficult to stay in my mind, cause I cant do that I have a short attention span.

oh well its nice to know these things.

I think I should get tested for dyslexia. I mix up a lot of words that sound or look the same. How were you tested?

Apart from teaching me coping methods no, to be honnest I've got this far in life without help and it could be a help of alot worse, some of my abilities are way over average but then I have other abilities the same as an average member of the public (I dobout anyone that goes to university can be considered average though).

I'll find out in a couple of weeks whats going to happen, he has to write up a report and recomendations.

On the bright side, at least you know and can make conscious effort to read more slowly and comprehend things.

Also on the plus side maybe now your eligible for a discount on alphabet soup.

Koko, basically I went to my school (well at this stage university) said I might have it, they met with me talked about it then I did a load of tests. Its stuff like arranging patterns, reading words out, reading nonsense words out, spelling real words, seeing how quickly you can write. Then they'll look at your history.

So for example I'm clumbsy, I went to a speach therapist, I had extra lessons to learn how to write in cursive.

Go to your place of education and ask them about it, but I'm going to be honnest (assuming your american) the states are considered significantly behind alot of the world, you wont get the kind of support i'll get or to its level.
