The Pacific

I just got done watching this series from HBO because I saw band of brothers and liked it. It was really good, though quite depressing at times. But, then there was this eye candy who plays one of the main characters:

Joe Mazzello, who, coincidentally, was also the little kid on jurassic park. Grew up to be a hottie!! So yeah I kept watching because I have a celebre-crush on this dude. I don't know what the point of this blog was, except that the show is good and this guy is cute :p

I hated the Pacific so much, it was long, tedious and the characters weren't memorable, seriously I couldn't even remember there names and it didn't really care because I was so incredibly bored.

This was an amazingly huge disappointment because I am a big fan of band of brothers, I loved the character development, it had the right balance between humor, action and drama where as the pacific was hey guys look at me were so fucking dramatic.

I waited 3 years with baited breath for them to release the pacific and it was a piece of crap.

I really liked the Pacific and am quite a fan of Snafu.
I've tried a few times to watch Band of Brothers but have only managed to finish the first one.

Eh you guys are entitled to like it but I hated it, it probably doesnt help that I'm a massive fan of band of brothers, maybe I set my expectations too high.

The Pacific was a lot grittier than Band of Brothers (I think). I'm not sure which one I like better/worse. I like that the Pacific wasn't afraid to hold back as much as Brothers did (as far as content), but I feel the relationships were stronger in Brothers (the characters seemed tighter knit), and I felt stronger emotional pangs when one of them died/was wounded.
I watched 'The Pacific' with not as much attention to it. I'm not sure if I even watched all the episodes either, though. May have to go through it again.

I thought the Pacific was pretty weak myself. Different kind of war, so I think they tried to portray it in a different way. Too much focus on the home life aspect. I have watched Band of Brothers at least 5 times. Didn't really care to watch the pacific again. I had a hard time connecting with the characters for most of it. In contrast, with the exception of the out of place David Schwimmer, I really got into the characters on BOB
