Caley Thistle is relegated. Five years in the top flight. 190 matches. Now it's back to the lower leagues, and with finances as they are, it's going to be very lean times for the club.

Fans of other sports (except rugby, my mistake) have no idea what relegation is like - you don't just lose, you're kicked out of the league ... gutted. Absolutely gutted.

I've experienced relegation in rugby league.. twice! In 3 years! It's heartbreaking.

Well ... at least that means you had a promotion mixed in as well ... but yeah, it's horrible.

We got promoted back both years after. Hopefully your team can do the same?

Hopefully ... but I don't know ...

It might seem like you're stuck in a rut.. but have faith in your club. They'll give all they've got i'm sure.

It sucks for the whole highlands - no team from the whole region will be in the top flight next season. The closest thing is Aberdeen, and they're hardly the highlands ...

Relegation is a funny thing. We don't have it in Australia. But at various times throguhout the Rugby League's history and I think in Aussie Rules too they've either dropped teams out altogether in order to make room for others or had to merge two teams or move them somewhere else, so at least your team has a chance to come back.

Unlucky, man. It's not something I've experienced with Everton, despite our best efforts in the 90s. My 5-a-side team, however will be relegated this week. And then probably promoted next season. With relegation following on. And thus the cycle continues.

Yeah, Tonteau - I've been relegated in Sunday league, and promoted, but never had my club go down. Has Everton secured Europa League (spits so stupid new name gets out of my mouth) for next season?

Yeah, we're in the FA cup final so that guarantees it, but we've also qualified for it via the league as we'll finish no lower than 6th.

Good - congrats. I'm a big David Moyes fan, so I have a soft spot for Everton.

SJ, what team do you support in the NRL? They've only recently brought in franchising in SL and luckily for my team (Castleford Tigers) they managed to secure a place.

I support Manly but I used to support North Sydney until they were dropped. They had briefly merged with Manly to form the Northern Eagles but that didn't last long. There's talk of bringing them back if they expand the competition but they would probably move them up to the Central Coast instead and I doubt I'd continue supporting them if they did.

All about me

I can freakin HEAR:

Join me or die. Could you do any less?

Zesus Saves.

I like Scottish football, plankton and rock music. Not a lot else. Oh yeah, I also like carrots. Especially with meat. Despite my lack of interesting things to say about myself, others occasionally find me to be quite fascinating, though I still remain unstalked. Also, as far as I know, my identity has never been stolen. Not that I want it to be stolen, but it would be nice if someone at least tried. My identity isn't THAT bad. Some of those millions of identity theft victims must have less compelling lives than me...right? Oh well. Bye.

Interests
I am obsessed with zooplankton. If you know what that means, you are cool. If you don't know what zooplankton are, they are small animals that live in every aquatic environment on Earth, just floating freely in the water column, letting the wind and the currents move them since their legs are too small and weak to do much of anything about it. Now you can go back to the beginning of this paragraph and I can call you cool, which I would very much enjoy doing.

I am also a fan of both the Scottish National Football team and the Inverness CT Football Club. Go Caley Thistle!

Coolest people on the blog, and why

Lishy McLishums - With a bullet! We like her. We like her a lot. Funny, smart, and pretty as hell. And apparently, a lot of people who write on her Post It notes agree with me.

MooseInMyShoe
- the whole licking her elbow thing, and other things, I guess, but mostly, the elbow. We're BFFZORZes.

Khol
- Watch out though - she's malaria. Regardless of this, she's one of my favorite bloggers. Don't tell her that, though. It'll go to her head and she'll think she's a god again.

DeboraBorealis
- for keeping my Genesis-related anger management issues in check, and for two magic words: "Muppet Dungeon". Plus, she watches SPL, which makes her cooler than you.

CanadianBeaver
- Because of her fangirlness-by-proxy the other day. I needed some company and she offered me an eBeer. Next one's on me.

SqueegeBeckenheim - She found me a song about Buffalo Bill that made me nearly wet myself with happy.
