ART THEFT!!

Im soooo Angry... Fuuuuming infact!!
Just found out today that someone on threadless stole my artwork and tried to pass it off as their own.. by submitting it as a Tshirt!!
Really does take the Pish, but I guess there are some sad sad sad people out there that cant think of their own ideas...

Makes me so mad, and it aint good for the intenet art community. Infact .. Im temped to start a Group
I shall call it
AAT - Artists Against Theft

and its sole purpose will be to provide artists with ammunition to destroy people who steal their artwork.. nuff said.

Hmm maybe its time to sumbit some new shit.

Very very sorry about this. I saw it earlier and it even got me pretty pissed off, and it's not even my design! Ugh, it's disgusting.

..since i stopped voting on submissions over a month ago, i have never seen your sub with the girl with butterfly wings, so i hope that's not what you're thinking.

Eriboss, you have every right to be pissed off, it wasn't even a redesign of your art, it was just a pure rip-off. I'm glad you caught the guy...although I'd love to see how he trys to talk hi way out of this one

From what I've gatherd, the culprit is only 14 - not thats any excuse. We won't be hearing from him again. If you really want to piss him off, he's got a webpage so go and tell him what for. The links on that 'my humble beginnings' blog.

Holy shit. Not funny.

I can see people along the same thought process coming up with concept 'avenues' that may cross, but this is sad.

Intellectual property is supposed to be appreciated.

I once caught someone in an interview passing almost his whole book off as his when I knew the person who did all of the work. Quite fun making the person sweat when you start grilling them in depth about who, what, where, when and why on 'their' designs.

(Maybe now people will stop being so ho-hum on stealing other people's stuff like all of the I 'heart' NY stuff we're seeing.)

People should know better,

and that girl who stuck up for him? are you his friend?

becasue if you are his friend you should realize that him stealing ideas is not only hurting the people who hes's stealing from, he's hurtin himself. he's stunting his creative growth.

he should know better.

maybe because of this incident he will go and work really hard on his own and maybe come back in a few years and give us something good (from himself.... NOT STOLEN)

I know if anyone stole my art, i'd find them and rip out their ovaries/balls.
