Photo Resizing

I am trying to submit 2 photos for the gallery and for credits, but even when I resize photos to the said dimensions, the picture isn't in proportion when uploaded.

So what program do you all who upload use to resize?

I need help!

Crop it to the right ratio, and you can shrink it just in Paint :)

Ummm some program that came with my camera I think. You could use photoshop though and it would be easy.

I have this same problem ALL the time!!! It drives me nuts!

What can you do if you don't have photoshop? I have a mac, so basically all I know how to do is attempt to resize using iphoto and that's always hit or miss.
