assuming you have a pc,

open up your control panel,

click on "appearance and themes,"

and to the left there should be a little folder that says "fonts,"

click on that, and drag the font from your desktop to the font folder, and then it'll be in there. Illustrator might update it automatically, but you might have to close it and open it up again.

actually... i don't see a folder named "fonts" i think my computer (at work) is set so only a system administrator can do it... which stinks cause i wanted the font for a non-work project.

It's a pain, but sometimes they let you do samples, so if you really need that font, you could try typing in what you want, and then just doing a screen shot of that, or saving it if it lets you.

okay, there should be a key on your keyboard to the right, like above the arrow keys and along the line of all of the "f" keys, that says "print scr/sys rq"

usually if you press that, the computer takes what amounts to a picture of whatever is showing on your screen right then. So from that you can open up a new file in photoshop and crop it down to just the text. It's kind of a pain, but works if nothing else does.

oh i see... yeah, i might have to try that tomorrow... but i think now i'm done with work. but at least i have an option. i really appreciate your help! you're great!
