I think this is shirt has a really powerful message. However, I can't put that message into words. My friends are all like "it just means war and peace" but I know it's deeper than that. Can anyone give me any explanation that I can use? Thanks!
In today's world, the lines are never clear, and it is sometimes difficult to tell what is right and what is wrong, or what is peace and what is hate, whether wars are just or unjust, and whether our actions are for the right reasons.
i somewhat agree with you, Toast Master. I'm not so sure about the whole just vs unjust war, because a shirt advocating peace (which i believe this shirt does) would "say" that all wars are unjust. i don't see the war and peace as equal on the shirt, especially since the title of the submission is "peace and hate," instead of "peace and war." rather, i see the grenade mimicking the dove, meaning that wars are falsely justified by guaranteeing peace. it can also mean that where we think we find peace, there is really war.
i guess there are tons of ways of interpreting it.
