The importance of a good thumbnail!

I avoided this sub for ages because I hated the thumbnail (I REALLY didn't want to see an awful Michael Jackson tribute), which is a pity because it's now too late to vote and I'd definitely have fived it.

I don't claim to know the secret - God knows I must be doing something wrong myself, judging by the number of votes my subs get - but I think some subs out there definitely need better thumbnails.

Personally I don't like thumbnails with photos on them, because it makes me dread what horrible photo-montage awaits me once I click.

if the thumbnail is a poorly made version of the design (skewed or pixelated), or shows what appears to be crappy drawing, I'd be less likely to click on it. Unless I'm on a bout of voting and it comes up, or the title piques my interest.

Yeah, I agree. I saw this and didn't click on it because of MJ, then, after voting ended I coincidentally found it and wow!

i was wondering about my thumbnail when seeing this blog title, and...oh you really talking about my thumbnail :D!

i realize that some people really hate my thumbnail, some avoid it and the other clicked it just to see how bad it is :D

but in the other side , the thumbnail also helps people recognised that im talking about MJ in my design, in case "MJ" didnt pop up in people head when they see it.

maybe i should consider using other MJ's picture, like the screenshot from game version or else
