Those colors are better than the red & blue, for sure, but I think they are too too too pastel/monochromatic. Making the tan a deeper/richer chocolate brown will help.

Amazing linework. Love the eyebrows on the top one. I'm not really sold on the color scheme though, but am not sure which I'd use. How does it look as a one color with only the lines (or was this a version I missed earlier).
I read part of the comments as 'Goldilocks and the 3 Beards', which I enjoyed more than '3 bears'...but that doesn't really work for a title without Goldilocks.

Justin, I was thinking a little darker with regard to the purple.
