The blast needs a little bit of cleanup at the top...the round ends of the lines and the one thin line look a little bit off. Maybe throw in a little bit of light gray for some added depth, but otherwise this is fantastic.
Loving it, definetly looks like something that could print. I agree that the top part needs a bit of tidying up, and the sizing inconsistensies bothers me a bit, either those are some big dwarves or a little dragon.
I see your point re: the sizing. I've drawn the little dens as kinda of a 'window' into each individual home, as opposed to a scale drawing of an apartment complex :) Think of it as creative license!
One suggestion is maybe you can try halftoning the edges of holes to create a fade effect? It tends to get heavy on the bottom part of the design because of the necessary heavy shading. Overall a very solid concept and execution.
Yeah I noticed that. What I mean is create an illusion that it fades to the background so it doesn't seem like it just floats on the shirt. Just imagine that the gradient is halftoned... * 'cause I got lazy*
Hey thanks for taking the time to try that out :) I'll give it a go and see how it looks. Mind you, this is my first ever attempt at using halftones - I'm no good at it.
