My friend Brian and I both bought a "Communist Party" shirt the first day they came out (funniest shirt ever!) but his met its match last night unfortunately:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Brian was crossing the street after dark and got hit by an SUV! He's fine (well bruised up really badly, but nothing broken) but the EMT's killed his communist party shirt!!! They had to cut it off and that's what's left of it :( I hope they reprint this shirt soon, he was really bummed out!

My friend got in a pretty bad car accident and after she was recovered she was really pissed that they cut her favourite bra right in half. She was like "fuck they could have just unsnapped it!"

People amaze me. If they've wasted time unsnapped it (probably by turning her over and fumbling for a bit) she probably would be calling them perverts and/or whining that they weren't that worried about her. Not to mention the lawsuit her parents would have started if she'd've died ...

Be glad that they're in a hurry to help you, people. It's their jobs. :)

i'm sure if she had had a back/neck injury (and how could the first responders really know one way or the other?) and they had lifted her to unsnap her bra and paralyzed her by moving her she would wish they had just cut it off.

Mandyhello it is good that your friend was not any more seriously injured.... bummer about the shirt but it could have been much worse certainly.

Ohhh absolutely.. we're just glad he's ok.. actually, he broke his collar bone really badly a few months ago, so that's why they cut off the shirt (they weren't sure if he'd rebroken the bone or not.. he didn't luckily).

the first thing he asked the EMT's was "OMG, is my IPOD ok?!?" hehe :)

Evidentally he really begged them not to cut off his shirt too, but they had to.. I'll be scanning ebay, hopefully I can get him a new one before xmas..

Forget Brian! The Communist Party! They killed it! The maniacs!

No, I'm kidding. That's terrible. Sorry to hear about Brian!

speaking of shirts being cut open, a while back in ceramics class (it was compulsory i promise) i was leaning back on my chair and had the weirdest daydream. i kind of 'envisioned' myself falling off the chair and an ambulance rushing in because i was unconcious. just as the ambulance people were about to cut off my jumper (it was free dress day, normally we wear uniforms) my friend yells out (in a slow motion noooooo kind of way) stooooop! its her favourite jumper. talk about dreams being the children of an idle brain!

completely unrelated i know. i just felt like sharing :D

Those pesky SUVs. Didn't the driver see that this is a STOP color?!?!?

I should have maybe mentioned that the bra was a front-snapping one. So really unsnapping it would have been quite easy.

Plus....a good bra is hard to come by.

I don't think I've ever owned a front-snapping bra that could even come close to being as good as the others... maybe this is why that bra was so valuable!?
