This is for my 'technology' class - we're doing a topic on Colour, for which we have to design 3 Landscape A3 posters:
- the colour wheel (with analogous and complimentary colours)
- colour systems for print & screen (RBG & CMYK)
- Monochromatic & subtle colours.

Colour Wheel:
fixed the text, and a slightly different background

I think you need to work the text. it's scattered all over the page right now, not left or right aligned nor centered. It seems a bit unstructured that way.

Thanks :) I alligned it to the shape of the chameleon, because it's specifically talking about those parts, but I see what you mean. I'll have a play around with it.

These are really nice amber, my only comment is that the green looks a little pale on the monochrome and tints. It might be a bit of a boring suggestion, but what about greyscale on one of the snakes?

I've considered it, I might actually try it to see how it looks :) thanks!

preference for the first or second colour wheel? I'm leaning towards the second I think...

The second, lighter version is a better illustration of the punchyness you mention in the copy

sweet, merci! I tried a greyscale for the mono, I didn't really like it though, so I'll leave it. Thanks for the suggestion though! :)

These are nice. ^_^

Color wheel: the colors don't seem to be precisely defined and placed (if that's important), it's not obvious which is supposed to be pure cyan, same for green; and what looks most like magenta is next to red.
Also, it's complEmentary ;)

Subtle colors: the 1st version is better because there are more different hues than in the other. It could use a low sat red though.

wow
very nice designs!
i love the illustration style you got going there! i think the illustration great and done!

text wise there are some problems right now:
i wouldn't use a bigger font to highlight important words in the text, maybe use the same font size just a different color. the bigger font is a little to different and makes for an annoying read for me.
second thing, i don't like the right to left text allingment. maybe use the regular english left to right. i know you did it to better compose it with the brench and all, but maybe if you mirror the illustration and place it to the left of the text it won't be a problem.

hope that helps...

in any case, i'd like to have the finalize posters in high quality to print on my inspiration wall...it really very beautiful!
you can send it to my mail: ibeenthere@gmail.com

i mean, please send it!!!!pretty please!!! :)

geez, thanks for the heads up on the typo, that would be sort of embarrassing. I don't think it matters too much about the colours on the colour wheel - I noticed that too, but it would be a buttload of work to fix it up, and my lecturer didn't point it out last time, so I'm hoping that it'll be alright the way it is :P

I'm not quite sure about the monochromatic version yet either. I think the second one doesn't have enough shades.. .but I don't like the way the shades make it look, so it's kind of hard to put them in there :P

Thanks for the comment Manu! :)

Thanks so much :) I've changed the text allignment to left, but kept the bigger fonts - I like the way it emphasises the words and makes the text a boit less boring.

RGB & CMYK poster

I'm not very happy with it, but it's due soon and I'm not going to create something new from scratch. I need to thicken the density of dots on the CMYK diagram, and the whole thing needs to be moved up a little, but I'm not sure if I will add anything else...

Unless you guys can think of anything :)

CMYK & RGB poster

I think that's the final one!

You might have made the magenta dots around the RGB design lighter than the bg, and the green dots around the CMYK darker.

magenta isn't very magenta-y
