I FINALLY got Adobe Photoshop CS2's free trial, and now I need to know how to make a shirt. Do I scan a drawing onto the template, or what do I do? PLEASE help me because I have numerous ideas I want to submit.

most things but also some things cant be taught or summed up in one bite size internet message board reply. just fuck around in illustrator and photoshop and familiarise yourself with the tools. practice a lot

Alright thanks. Yeah I was actually thinking about putting this on a shirt for myself but I don't know how. If you know I'll make one (hopefully even publish it) if I get permission from the artist. I think his name is on the web somewhere, try looking up racist bunny on google images. By the way its just funny, I'm not a racist.

Hey I looked around the internet for methods on how to create shirts using Adobe CS2 and even messed around with it for 2 hours and I got nothing. If anyone has extremely helpful advice or an exact link on a sample, it would be extremely appreciated. I really need help and I would love to submit shirts to the site. Ayudarme, por favor.

you want illustrator not photoshop. Some people use photoshop but they know what they are doing.

If you have CS 2, why don't you use livetrace?

Another easy thing to do would be to use photoshop, select by color. Open up your paths palette. Create a new path, click on it, copy it, and then paste it into illustrator as an editable path (this is useful if you have multple colors in a scan).

p.s. If you really have no idea what you're doing in these programs, pick up an illustrator tutorial book. It's the fastest way to learn the program.

You don't need Adobe CS to design shirts.

and how many shirts have you actually sent to PRINT blame.

You can design tees on anything, getting them printed is a totally different ballgame.

true. You can create a shirt design in MSpaint. But if a client sent me that file, I would laugh at them for at least an hour. Illustrator is nice because you can size the vector art without losing resolution. Also, colors and shapes are easily separated for the creating of screens.

You don't need illustrator but you do need a good vector program. Corel Draw is an affordable alternative.

Maybe I'm ignorant, but once I export a .svg vector file in inkscape to any other format, its no different from doing the same thing from illustrator, right?

Well I would have no idea and I don't even know what a .svg or vector is...if I did I guess that would help. I just got CorelDRAW X3 by the way and I'm messing around on it but I still don't know how to make designs like all the ones on shirts for this site. I've spent 5 hours today looking for tutorials and trying to figure it out but I got no clue what I'm doing...someone please PLEASE SERIOUSLY help me.

I don't know if it'll help but you could also check the book stores - those "_____ for dummies" books really ARE helpful, if you can get over the embarrasment of buying one...
