Things you did on your 21st

Birthday, not century, though I guess most of you would have done things in the 21st century on your 21st birthday.

Anyway.

I was wondering if you guys did anything special for the big day? A friend's birthday is coming up and I'm not very good with ideas.

Or did you have a different birthday that was memorable in some way?

Also, I hear you all had a great time in Chicago, though I am very glad you are all back!

Don't buy him/her 100 dollars worth of drinks at the bar, I'll tell you that. My friends took me out to dinner one year and that was probably one of the better birthdays I've had. nice and simple.

Usually, a bar will offer a free drink on ones 21st birthday...so go to as many bars as you can and get as many free drinks as possible!

I was just going to post a blog like this because I'm turning 19 which is legal in Canada. My family are far(ish) away and my boyfriend's gone all day and I don't know anybody in this city. And I have to work until from 4:30 until 11:00 at night. Nooo idea what to do.

I remember getting a bunch of wings with my family, but they were too hot for everyone but my dad and me. So we just sat around pigging out most of the night.

i had one beer at chipotle with my burrito, it was finals week and it was the most only thing i could think of that wouldn't take to much time away from the crazy studying i had to do...

then partied that weekend of course, haven't gotten stupid drunk like that in the 8 years since...

We were thinking about a familyesque dinner, but with our unhealthy alcohol habits, we figured booze related celebrations would suit best.

Also, I am mad jealous of Pearbear's birthday. If mine were closer, I was considering treating myself to the meetup.

I went to this bar called Cliff's full of cigar smoke and kamikazes.

The rest of the night is a blur, but I do remember a conversation with Ralph on the big white phone.

i went to laser tag for my 21st, then out to the bar.. but laser tag was the highlight.

for my 22nd i had a dive bar karaoke party that was pretty awesome as well

and for 23 we had a Party Like it's 1985 (the year I was born) party, and everyone had to dress like it was 1985..

the year I turned legal (18) I just went to the bar with my sister because most of my friends were still 17 and I was still in high school and I think it was a school night..

I don't remember my 21st at all. I can only recall specifics of about 3 of my adult birthdays.
