What's in your perfet fruit salad?

I've been big into eating fruit salads lately, and I can't find the ultimate combo.

I just made one with bananas, apples, kiwis, raisins, dried cranberries and blueberries with lime squeezed on top and a really nice raspberry vinaigrette, mostly because I was out of red fruit.

But what about you?

Also, I'm mainly using this as an incentive to get my reading done. I only have 10 pages left, but I can't seem to get through them, so I'm not coming back until they are done...

And I love/miss you all enough that I will read quickly.

cut a small watermelon in two, chop up the red flesh and remove/eat half, then make a cocktail in the middle with peaches, strawberries and grapes...yum!

I didn't know anyone actually liked honeydew. I think it's a strange melon and I don't get it.

The other day I had brunch someplace and they had a really interesting fruit salad it had sliced pear, granny smith apples, jicama, with walnuts, apricots, and gorgonzola cheese and the dressing was just some olive oil. I thought it would taste horrible but it was actually my favorite thing on the menu.

i looove fruit salad! i have one almost every friday for lunch during the warm months. it usually has watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, red and green grapes, strawberries, mango, and pineapple.

I actually completely lose it over honeydew melon. I don't know what it is. It's like my kryptonite. My ideal fruit salad is just honeydew with more honeydew.

it's...sweet. it really doesn't have that much flavour or nutrients or anything. Becca's totally right. It's like feeding hummingbirds sugar water. I don't want to love it but I do.

I prefer to put vanilla yogurt on top instead of whip cream. its a little better for you and it helps offset the sting and acidity of the stronger fruits - its ideal for pineapple.

Zomg.. It will be warm enough for cheap fruit soon - and LOADS of it. Fucken love fruit salads :D I live in a town which ispractically famous for its fresh produce so icant wait.

My favorites are mangos raspberries, melons, apples and pineapples. And grapes! As long as they're seedless anyway :p

I asked for a fruit salad instead of a cake at work today (for someone's last day). It was the worst EVER. Three kinds of melon, some grapes and a bit of orange :(

Oh also, I had a terrible fruit salad in New Zealand. It said "Citrus Mix" and I looked at it and only saw a couple of oranges in it and thought, that's not really a citrus mix. Turned out what I thought was watermelon (I really love watermelon) was actually pink grapefruit, which is horribly sour and bleh.

NEVER ANY MELON.

I'm highly allergic to any kind of melons (*giggle*), so I hate when there is melon in fruit salad. My perfect fruit salad would be strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pineapple, grapes and apple. I'm semi allergic to all those too, but not nearly as bad as effin melons.

I've actually had the perfect fruit salad. There was this produce place that used to make it... I can remember most of it:

Strawberries
grapes
orange sections (peeled of course)
cantaloupe
maybe grapefruit sections too
and coconut

it was so good and it didn't have watermelon! which to me means perfect.
