What is it

That so many people despise about text? Is the issue that type is always bad with a design? Or that hadwritten type is always bad? Or that words at all are just filthy, disgusting, sacks of rubbish by the roadside that everyone wishes would go away but have no qualms with ignoring? I think that must be it. Explain it to me.

People don't like to read. When they can't sound out the words, it makes them feel stupid.

they tend to be completely unnecessary in most cases, the design should speak for itself and shouldnt need some phrase to explain it.

text isnt necessarily a bad thing, people just need to know how to incorporate it better

So is it possible to include text as an accompaniment to, rather than an explanation of the design? And who decides when text is incorporated well or not? People with graphic design degrees or the other people, whoever they are?

noone decides, its all just a matter of opinions, as with any design, whether it has text or not
