Not that I expect it to go anywhere, but I have a slogan submission that is straight up copied and pasted from someone's post on their design submission. On the outside chance this thing wins, this should serve as documentation that that person deserves the prize. As honest as this may sound, though, I was too lazy to ... wait! Thank god for tabs... the design was this:

Over the last hour or two of judging (I was going to say "scoring", but "judging" makes me sound mighty!) Type Tee Slogans, I started to become increasingly bitter when a slogan would appear that was remarkably similar something I recently posted . I would angrily click the person's name to see if theirs was a more recent submission than mine, going by the dubious marker of how many votes their slogan had. If they in fact had fewer votes, I felt justified in my conclusion that I am (naturally) far more creative than they are and perhaps they would contract scroffula. However, if they had a great deal many more votes than I did, why, the only explantion could be that they were in some kind of heavy rotation and I was being persecuted. Most likely because I'm brilliant. Amazing the logic I can employ in my cluttered little room in my tiny little house at 1 in the morning on a "school night."
Fortunately, as is occassionally the case, reason started to set in and it slowly dawned on me that maybe, just maybe, this was a good thing. I mean, aside from the fact that it would be silly to check every possible keyword of every slogan one submits, perhaps this is what all those open source folks are on about all the time. Maybe someone comes up with an idea, releases it into the wild and it takes on a life of it's own. It spawns other ideas and those in turn spawn others. Eventually it either reaches the pinnacle of it's evolution (the uber-slogan) or it overpopulates and goes extinct (Git'r Done!).
I suppose what I am getting at is that while I can be as irrational and spiteful as the next unrecognized artist, the thinking bits ultimately regain control. Unfortunately, as of late, the spite and the looniness are the only artistic characteristics I've displayed. Well, those and hunger.
Now someone make everyone stop copying my awesome ideas.
