i'm graduating from college in less than a month and i still don't know what i want to be when i grow up! :S

I still want to be a million different things...



I dunno, relax, heh. The majority of people don't know what they want to do in high school. And if they do, they probably change their mind later.

When I grow up I want to be successful, happy, healthy, and rich.



But I doubt any of those will happen...so I'm leaning toward becoming an accountant.

steph, I bet you'll still be rich if you're an accountant.



And probably healthy.



But maybe not happy? I don't know.

Accountants seem pretty boring and...bleh. But good luck with that! :)



I'm leaning towards a writer...or designer...or something to do with...oh wait, nah.

I'm almost 30 and on my fifth full time job, in a 3rd different sector, and I'm still unsure what I want to be when I grow up.

I wanted to be a unicorn trainer. I figured that by the time I was grown up, they would have found the unicorns and declared them to be real creatures.... alas, I am still waiting for that one remote jungle to be explored. YOu know, the jungle where unicorns live.



I sure as hell didn't say I wanted to be a sales auditor for a lawn care company...

Don't let that decision stress you, some of us know what they want right away, some (like me ) don't, make peace with it and enjoy being the way you are, I have a quote from Escher that might help you: "Only those who dare with absurdity reach the impossible" I just translated it, hope it makes sense!

as a kid i wanted to be an oldschool style mafia boss (because of the guns and the hats and the hot illegal parties), a pirate or an alchemist.

then i wanted to get a pathologist.

but

since i'm about 14 i want to be a movie director. and that's what i am studying now. i'm happy.

my advice is if you want to go to college go to college you do not have to have a set goal in mind. Thats what they make you think in school growing up that you have to have you mide made up before you get to college. I thought I made up my mind and the second month of my first simester I changed my mind. So if you really want to do something with your life go to college and take your basics and hope that you figure it out along the way.

I used to want to be a veterinarian. I sorta ended up a veterinarian in the sense that I take care of monkeys all day.

A friend of mine used to tell people that he wanted to be a gorilla when he grows up.

I've loved reading this. It's so interesting.. I always wanted to be somebody special when I was growing up, and making peace with being ordinary is kinda hard, y'know? Anyway I'm 27 and have spent the last 3 years bedridden with chronic illness.. when I'm better I don't know what I'll do, but after all this time I think I'll be happy just to have the energy to take a shower every day. That's a good goal to have, right?!

I want to be a filthy hobo. The filthier the bettar!
