I think that's part of the appeal of Threadless... a limited amount of shirts printed each week makes the shirts especially exclusive. Of course, I say that having already purchased this particular sold-out shirt.
I will say that I felt the same way when "Movies..." and "Splatter..." sold out so fast last week, and made me wishing they had printed more shirts. However, there is no reason to freak out... obviously when a shirt sells out that fast there is clearly a demand and Threadless should have the sense to reprint it fairly quickly.
I completely agree. I discovered this site last year during the holiday sale, and I've been hooked ever since. I think I started off buying 10 shirts during that sale, and with each sale following (Spring Break, Summer, Back-2-School), I found I've purchased more shirts progressively with each sale.
It's gotten to the point where I face a dilemma every morning deciding which cool shirt to wear... there's just too many to choose from! But yeah... lately, though, I've found I've been more impulsive when it comes to shirts that are close to selling out in my size (Girly M)--particularly with first edition shirts. After every sale I say to myself "Okay, that's it..." But I always end up coming back every Monday to see what's new. It's an obsession... like my crack addiction. :)
I live in Wisconsin... which I realize isn't that far from Chicago, but still, I usually would have to wait at least 5 days to a week before receiving my goodies. On a related note, I placed a larger order on Monday (Aug. 27) night and UPS tracking says they're coming today (Aug. 29).
Which is either a good thing or bad thing. Good, because I'm getting my shirts crazy fast... and bad, because it's tempting to take product pics for STPs and impulsively buying even more shirts during this sale. Damn you, Threadless! :)
