I'd like to know honestly what people think of my designs. I posted three in succession and they each have less than 1 days (Pink is OK! has less than 2) to score. So please vote on them if you haven't already, but most importantly I'd like to know what people think of my style.

Pink is OK! - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Just one of those days - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Herald of Geekdom - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Should I clean up my style more? Spend more time on them? Or should I go for a more hand-drawn look? It'll be a while until I can finally draw designs again, so I'd like to collect feedback as time goes on.

Thanks everyone for their support so far!

Your style is fine - Pink isn't really a unisex Tee ( or perhaps that's just me) Herald of Geekdom has kinda been done before but I love just one of those days - really strong design though I would have liked to have seen both images on the front. Keep up the great work !

I think Pink Is OK! has the most potential of the three, but that's just me. As for your style, people either like or dislike all kinds of styles. No style is good or bad, and you can either keep going with this one and master it or experiment with a plethora of different styles.

Thanks Spam69 and olie!

I've been trying to experiment with various styles--I've found that what I've been doing now is the fastest for me, which is what I'm going for while I still have piles of homework to attack. But I just got myself a Micron pen (it's godly I tell you!) and I'm thinking of all the different possibilities. Anyone use one to make designs? What does it look like?

Hm was it the concept or the colors...?

Thanks for the $5 btw!!

Concept. I liked the slightly clean sketch style of it too, and the random geeky sillyness in it.

Pink: Just not a concept I could see worn on peoples shirts. Great execution though.

Not sure what I didn't like about the other one.

I'm pretty sure the geek crest concept thing has been printed in the past, if you check all past winners. . . That doesn't mean it wasn't good, I'm just throwin' it out there. . .

Thanks!

See I was thinking that Threadless would have something like that so I did a blog asking if it was done before. I also searched through old stuff looking for things like "geek" and "crest" and "heraldry" and couldn't find any geek heraldry. I guess I missed it...which one was it?

I'd really like to know...is there already a geek heraldry thing that was printed before?

Holy shiz you're right! I dunno why I didn't find it before...If I knew THIS was printed I wouldn't have spend so much energy doing that geek heraldry one of mine.

DAMN.

Anyway thanks for the heads up olie!

My two favourite designs of yours are "High Ambitions" and "Zoomorphism". High Ambitions is pretty much perfect in my books and I'm really puzzled by the low score. Zoomorphism is wonderful but I think it could have been placed better on the shirt. As for your style, I just love it! My one suggestion - Threadless really loves strong, clever ideas and "hooks". Just look at all the designs that have been printed and you'll see what I mean. Your unique style combined with a strong concept would really help you. I love the pink shirt idea but also consider that you want your design to be appealing to as many people as possible, both women and men, young and old. Also, I personally like text sometimes, and the way you do it, but I've noticed that text isn't that popular on Threadless - but you have the right idea because if you're going to include text, it's better to have it hand-drawn. I hope some of this was helpful. You're really talented and deserve better scores and I look forward to seeing more stuff from you! If you keep it up I'm sure you'll eventually get a print.

I'm about to put up a bunch of other subs soon yay! But I'm still developing a style I guess so this advice is really really helpful.

All about me

I adore sea hares. I love windy days, sunflowers, and ketchup. I have trouble writing bios about myself.

In short, a total weirdo.

That's really about it.
