IMHO, I think this shirt is a *perfect* example of where Threadless sometimes goes wrong. It's a great design--I put it in my cart before I looked at the photos--but the print takes up WAY too much space. It's just not in proportion with anyone but a select few bodytypes.

So my advice to Threadless is thus... Keep the designs rollin', but allow them to take up less space. Again, IMHO design has much more to do with "whitespace" than what you use to fill it.

In a way though, I'm glad, because if the image/size proportion were corrected, I think I'd be broke.

I love big prints. They hide my tiny boobage and give people stuff to look at.

This design is very boxy, though.

its kind of the point of the design

I don't like the boxyness of the design, as well as the heather-grey-ness. But other than that, I don't mind the size. When a design is too small, it reminds me of the old threadless (and by that, I mean when like, 3 ink colors were allowed to be used.) That time may have never occurred, but its still fresh in my mind ;)

any smaller and people would be getting really close to read what it says, and i like my personal space.

so if this shirt fits some body types better than others, yay threadless for making shirts that fit a wide range of body types? :D

I totally agree with the orginal poster. A lot of Threadless designs are just too big. Not for this particular shirt, cause that's kind of the point of the shirt, but definitely for a lot of others. I'll click on a design that looks neat and it'll just be way too blown up.

I agree with the original statement -- Design is about activating whitespace, not filling it up. Bigger is not always better.

At last, others are saying what I've been thinking for a long time. Designs printed too large on the shirts puts me off buying otherwise great t-shirts. Is it the peeps at Threadless who decide the final size of designs? I like my t-shirts to speak, not shout!

I have a new appreciation for Heather greys with the right kind of cotton.
