I'm going to court soon

I got a traffic citation in the summer. I'd never gotten one before, so I didn't know what to do, and I hate asking quesitons. I did nothing, and found out in September that there was a warrant for my arrest for failure to appear in court. I got a new court date, for today, and I'm pretty nervous about it. I shouldn't be. I know that the worst thing that can happen is that I'll get a fine of $300-400. It still sucks though. I don't have a lot of money, and I'm moving to Washington (state) in less than a week. Wish me luck.

You should stage some sort of awesome protest and try to attack the judge. The media money will totally outweigh the fines/potential jail term.

I just got back from court. It was pretty uneventful, moreso than I expected. There were about 30 people in the courtroom at once, so everybody can eavesdrop on everybody else's court matters. It's a little embarrassing. There was a girl who worked at Walgreen's that was charged with selling tobacco to minor(s). Ummmm. I have to pay $325 and do 8 hours of community service. I'm leaving on Sunday; I hope I can do the community service before then.
