it's exactly how i tie a tie, and it works and looks just fine if you're careful. good on you for being anal about an unecessary lost art though.

I think it's actually called a four-in-hand knot. It's a good one for beginners to learn.

this is what i use for mine, but i guess that just because my tie is so fat that if i did a full, or even half windsor it would look like a tumor out the side of my neck. maybe.
