hmm. . . personally I just think the way you cut off the different elements like the sky, grass tree branches and waves and put them in a boxy grid doesn't look extremely flattering on the shirt. . . but honestly I don't even know if I could think of a way I would've done it any better without dissolving the concept. It might have just been the nature of the elements you were dealing with, if you get my drift.
Also the fact that the geisha "I" is on the side and kinda detached from the rest kinda makes it hard to see what you're saying. . . but again I don't know how I would've fixed it.
Sorry dude. I know that probably doesn't help you at all. If it's any consolation I like the details and colors and you did a great job emulating his style!

I think its great though I kinda wished that the 'I' wasn't seperate from everything else
The detail in the lettering is great though, I'm a huge fan of the artist so I would probably buy this

I totally agree...I had so many problems with the layout...it kept spelling "SUK" and "USA", ha ha ha! I chalk this up as an exercise in examining Hokusai's style (which I love). I'll probably re-work it someday, but it was good to practice and draw this for fun anyway.
