everyone else went to their basements. we sat on the porch and ate ice cream, and later we had a party.

we've had no power in eight pm last night!

no AC, no lights, no fridge. all we've got is water and a stove.

when sirens go off around here... we all calmy walk to the closest saferoom. It's so normal around north texas we don't even think twice, it's like...routine.

hah people here shit themselves anytime the weather changes. you'd think they'd be used to the crazy weather we get in Illinois, but if there's even a thunderstorm there will be warnings and watches all over the TV.

Twister scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. I fell asleep while watching it and thought there was an actual tornado ripping my house apart.

because of twister, i have been scared to be out when i was a kid. and jaws didn't help much, which blowed since i lived in the pacific for a bulk of my life. and the exorcist made my house a nightmare.

movies pretty much ruined my childhood.
