Somehow the exhaustion isn't hitting me the way it used to. I'm doing well.

How's it going?

I don't even know, man. It's mostly that I don't feel that I need to sleep, so I haven't. I've also got a flight to catch in a few hours.

Who has time to sleep when there's so much to do?

Though the best part of sleep is dreaming of you.

well the best time to sleep would be during the flight.

Alvin... swoon.

Meh, I kind of want to work on knitting my sweater, if they let me. I also have 6 books in my carry-on.

How've you been, Alvin?

Oh boy, sweater knitting. My mom has been knitting scarves and it's the most mesmerizing thing I've ever seen.

I've been okay. Just working and stuff. Nothing particularly exciting going on in my life. How about you, love? How's university life?

It is pretty mesmerizing, I'll agree.

Yeah, not much here, either. It's all good. I'll fill you in later.

I ended up having 5 and a half hours of sleep in 61 hours total. Had to keep up appearances until 3:30 in the morning today.

Someone's popular. I take it your flight went well.

blossompossum on Dec 24 '11 at 7:17pm
I slept though the hour that they were de-icing the plane, and then the first 3 hours of the flight. For the rest of it, I spoke to an old woman sitting next to me. I'm not sure how the conversation started, but it was good. It's nice to hear about older people who have family that want them here.

If my grandparents were still alive, I would always want them around.

Why didn't you get more sleep?
blossompossum
blossompossum on Dec 24 '11 at 7:25pm
We were meeting with a family we hadn't seen since 1999. We picked up someone from the airport and then all drove home. I remember trying to hold a conversation with my father in the car; it went very well for all of it except for 15 minutes during which I kept falling into microsleep.

Also, I thin your grandparents would be very, very happy if they knew that. Well, maybe they already did.

Microsleep. Busy busy. Sounds like the opposite of my holiday. I've been bored, not really doing much of anything, which I guess is both good and bad in a way.

I didn't really get to know any of my grandparents. My mom's parents passed away when she was young. My dad's mother passed away just before I was born, and my dad's father was in Korea. I only met him a few times in my life that I can remember.

I'm told I would have gotten along with my grandmother on my dad's side, but I guess I'll never know.

How are your holidays going, aside from the lack of sleep?

Wowz....I don't understand how some people can stay awake for so long!!!

I sleep so much. It's crazy. Probably I get on average at LEAST 9 hours a night.

When school starts that might change...but even then. I get 8 hours a night.

Hi Jyotsana! sleep!

Meh, it's not really that busy. I just like talking to people a lot... if you're ever subject to my physical presence, you will see that I won't necessarily speak much (depends on th person, really), but I typically will not be the person to end a conversation unless there's something that I really must do. The lack of sleep, the long hours of waking-- these are mostly the side effects of being sociable, although perhaps ironically I choose to stay up sometimes after these associations. Also, the holidays are going splendidly. I feel this great love for mankind swelling in my heart, like what was described in The Brothers Karamazov.

Aw man. Well, be assured that I didn't get the chance to know them very well, either. I suppose I still have a chance with my mother's side, though.

I do sleep a lot, sometimes. I could probably sleep for days just out of will. It's one of my favourite things ever; these ungodly hours of waking are a lover, and sleep is the love of my life.

Hi Steve! I did! And I will!

Woo verbosity. Also, too many personal pronousns.

Can you feel the ungodliness already? I swear I didn't write that much.

Merry Christman, everyone.

MERRY CHRIST MAN!!

Christman is a great guy.

I'm more of a reactor than an initiator when it comes to conversations. Being sociable is nice though. I'm sorting of losing what shred of sociability I had just from not talking to much of anyone these days.

I love sleep, but since I've started work, I've been so afraid of wasting time, even though that's all i really do. Even on my days off, I won't sleep in. I'd like to call sleep the love of my life, but I'm pretty sure that title's already taken by you.

I've heard pretty nice things about Christman.

That happens to me, too. I've gained a lot of sociability of late, though; apparently I have a decent store of charm that I can access without too much difficulty.

I know the feeling, too. As you can see, I like sleeping but don't do it very often.

Swoon.
Chipmnk
Chipmnk on Dec 27 '11 at 4:22pm
Well I could have told you you had charm.

I'm understanding what people mean now when they say there aren't enough ours in the day, which is why I've been so lenient with sleep. But then that's been at odds with the growing lack of love or passion in my life.
