Is it just me...

about No Repeats!

...or is there something weird going on with the material of this shirt? The sizing seems ever so slightly larger than usual, and I'm also conerned because it looks like the ink is itching to crack up and fall off. I've washed it once in cold water, and the inside label is already starting to come off. If this were more of a simplistic design, it wouldn't be that much of a problem... but there's so much detail in it that I don't want to lose that effect.

Maybe I should just not wash it.

sometimes this just happens. w/ american apparel, the sizing changes quite a bit by color. and w/ the bigger designs i wonder if they are all thick ink. too bad they couldn't use the same method they use on the selects.

Wait, so is this printed on the new shirts? The material seems a lot thinner than my other shirts. I feel like I'm out of the loop of what's going on with the new shirts vs. the old.

no, this is printed on american apparel (unless you bought a mens). their shirts really vary a LOT on size and thickness.

i think that when you go to buy a shirt, when they first use the new ones they will make sure that it is obvious.

It's funny that you should bring this up Valor. When I washed mine, the tag on the inside completely flaked off to the point that it's completely gone. That was just on the first wash, and I used cold water too. I didn't think much of it at the time.

I purchased the girly shirt, but if the guys shirts are flaking off too then maybe it's the ink... and not the material (because they're still on fruit of the loom, right?). I'm just worried that if the inside label's already coming off on the first wash, the actual design will fade super quickly.

Is this a problem for other shirts too? I bought 3 others at the time I bought this one, and they don't seem to be that way.

That's the first time that's ever happened to me (that the tag washed off). Except, I have a gold tag shirt that started to do the same thing. I didn't notice any problems with the ink on the actual design though. Could the printing of the tag be a cheaper process or something?

Yeah, maybe the ink on the tag is of a lower quality. I guess they figure nobody cares who designed it, haha. Sad.

the tag wash off often, and are usually the first thing to go.

Yeah i couldn't believe it! Although i honestly didn't know what it was at first. I had it for several weeks before I saw somebody post a blog about a golden tag and I figured it out. I felt like Charlie with his wonka bar!

haha, that's funny. i wonder how many ppl that happens to. i had one w/ a brown tag and i thought it was gold at first. alas, it was not.

hmm, i washed mine once and the color seemed to almost bleach out of the lable. weird. it also seems thinner than my other AA threadless shirts

I like lots of music, but The Smiths are the best. I eat too many bean & cheese burritos. I get carded all of the time, sometimes for rated R movies. I probably spend too much money on good wine and chocolate. I would rather watch cartoons than sit through a ceremony of any sort.
